"Fred!!! Bring the chair out! I'm about to do the Vince Carter dunk!" I can vividly remember my little brother sprinting and leaping into the sky off the strategically placed chair to give him all the boost he needed to make the crowd (I was the crowd) yell out, "HONEY DIP!!"

Vince Carter has been a human highlight reel for years. Ever since his days of jumping over 7' foot centers in games and being crowned Champion of the 2000 All-Star Slam Dunk Contest to now taking on a new role for the Hawks.

Coaches Pierce of the Atlanta Hawks wants to utilize Carter's 21 years of knowledge and experience to provide leadership to a young core. Guys like Kevin Huerter and John Collins are under the wing of the 8x All-Star as they anticipate playing bigger roles on the team. Even players like Trae Young Young have had their brain picked by Vince.

Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas even had this to say about Vinsanity, "Vince should be on the bench as a coach or in the office giving his input."

A locker room guy like Vince Carter is necessary when it comes to building the morale and mentality to inspire younger players to bring out the best in themselves. If he could make me and my brother jump off the chair to be like him, imagine having the locker next him.
